RANGE RULES

RANGE PERSONNEL
A.  Jackson Indoor Shooting Range personnel are in direct control of the range at ALL TIMES.
B.  Jackson Indoor Shooting Range  personnel are authorized to inspect ALL firearms & ammo.


FIREARM SAFETY PROCEDURES
A.  All firearms brought into the building WILL be unloaded.  Is the firearm is not in a case or range bag, the action will be locked open.  Revolvers will have the cylinder out of battery.
B.  All firearms will be unloaded, cased  or holstered, and the actions locked open upon exiting the range.
C.  All Ammo will be in a box or container - no loose ammo.
D.  Magazines will be separate from the firearm.
E.  Keep all firearms pointed down range at all times.
F.  Anyone under 21 using handguns, or 18 if using long guns, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the range at all times.
G. Only one shooter per lane.  No more than two persons per lane, only one of which can shoot at a time.
H.  Accidental discharges, damages to range and/or injuries - no matter how minor - MUST be reported to the Range Master IMMEDIATELY!
I.  When finished shooting, unload all firearms, place them in a range bag, case or holster with the action(s) open.   Please remove targets, empty ammo boxes, etc.
J.  Shooters may NEVER move beyond the firing line. If you drop anything  past the firing line, notify the Range Staff.


TYPES OF FIREASRMS PERMITTED
A.  All handgun calibers.
B.  Rifle calibers not to exceed .460.


AMMUNITION
A.  NO armor penetrating, tracer, steel shot, steel core or incendiary rounds.
B.  Factory loaded ammo only.


EYE & EAR PROTECTION
A.  Eye & ear protection will be worn at all times while in the range.


RENTAL FIREARMS
A.  Must be 18 to rent long guns.
B.  Must be 21 to rent hand guns.
C.  Must be 21 to rent Class III firearms.
D.  Must be able to legally possess a firearm to rent any guns.
E.  All rental guns do require the use of range ammo.


CEASE FIRE
A.  When your target edges, lights flash and/or an alarm sounds, all shooters will immediately stop firing, lay their firearms down on the bench with the muzzle pointed down range and step back from the firing line.


CODE OF CONDUCT
A.  The shooters, members, staff and guests  of the range will wear proper attire.
B.  No offensive/vulgar language or behavior will be allowed.


ALCOHOL & DRUGS
A.  The use of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited on the range.


SMOKING, EATING & DRINKING
A.  Absolutely NO smoking, eating or drinking in the range.

  

ALL SAFETY RULES APPLY AS STIPULATED BY THE RANGE MASTER.

STRICT ADHERENCE TO THESE RULES AT ALL TIMES IS EXPECTED OF ALL STAFF, SHOOTERS & GUESTS.
